One of the Best Gifts for the Holidays

Today, many buyers are looking for an item that can be shared by an entire office staff.



According to a publication of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce:

“Food gifts are the best gifts for the holidays because they are something everyone can enjoy and they’re usually not too expensive.”  There’s no doubt that the widespread popularity of gourmet food makes it a great gift for the holidays.

There are many additional reasons why business gift buyers rank food as the #1 holiday business gift. First, it’s an easy, “no brainer”gift.  You don’t need to worry about the recipients’ size and gender like you do with wearables.  Plus, a food gift is appropriate for everyone in an organization from the newest trainee all the way up to the president.  Very few gifts are that easy and universal.

Food gifts are fun and generate a lot of excitement.  If you’ve ever been in an office that received a gift basket or gourmet tower you’ll remember everyone rushing to open every package in anticipation of enjoying the delicious contents.

Food gifts are shareable.  Today, many buyers are looking for an item that can be shared by an entire office staff.   Their goal is to generate goodwill with everyone in the office, rather than just a single individual. We see temporary employment agencies sending gifts to their clients; insurance agencies sending them to their customers; brokerage firms sending them to trust departments; and banks sending them to their commercial customers.

Finally, food gifts can easily be used to meet various price points.  That’s not easy to do with other gifts.  Frequently we see orders that have an A gift, B gift and a C gift.  The A gifts go to the larger offices, the B gifts to the mid-size offices, and the C gifts go to the smaller offices.  The important thing to remember here is that food gifts are scalable.
